My name is Sarah James-Cyrus. I studied Law at Leicester University and then went on to do the Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law. I graduated as a Trainee Barrister in 2001.

I am a full time Civil Servant and a part time Freelance writer and presenter fuelled with a passion for words and the powerful effect they can have. To date, I have covered a plethora of genres and subjects to suit my clientele, but inherently I have always felt compelled to try and reach out to some of the youths on the streets today. My motivation to write has stemmed from personal experience, as both my father and brother have been victims of violent attack.

Professionally, I would say that I am an ambitious female, a visionary! I'm a typical Capricorn in the sense that success translates to money, but also into helping others. Personality wise, I think my friends might describe me as extremely chatty, classy and cool. I'd say that I'm fun but feisty, relaxed with a quiet confidence, mad, but I have my wits about me. My passion is writing and I believe that it is time for me to share this.

The story behind the story .
Writing was always a secret love and it all started of as a hobby. As my brother launched himself into his music (spitting lyrics), I did the same with books. The hobby became a serious stress reliever when close members of my family were stabbed in two separate incidents. Furthermore, my current job completely changed my perception of how I see the world now. Prior to all this, I lived my life complaining, accepting and being submissive. Now I feel, I have tuned my voice to the correct frequency of realisation.

Past and present clients include :

The South London Press, Flavour Magazine, City Connect, Teen Caribbean online, Precious Magazine and the New Black Magazine but I am always looking for the next challenge to captivate the critical reader.
